What caused me/someone I know to become same-sex attracted?Unfortunately there has been no scientific explanation for this yet. If God is love, how can He not be pleased if I love someone, even if they are of the same sex? "Unfortunately, God does not give us a lot of explanation as to why He does not wish for us to indulge our same-sex attractions, He simply tells us it is not part of His plan for His people. Strength in Weakness Ministries humbly submits to the sentiment in Isaiah 55:8-9, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." And we rejoice in the fact that we are not meant to understand everything, we are simply meant to obey out of our love for God (John 14:15).
